Yesterday at Spa, the Spork Racing Team ran their three Seat Leon Supercopa’s during an official testday. Jimmy ‘AJ’ Adriaenssens ran the blanco English Supercopa of David Nye, Jonas De Kimpe/Vincent Van Paemel ran AJ’s 2011-Supercopa and Wim De Graef/Kris Van Kelst their own. All three cars proved again to be reliable, fast and clearly ready for the first Supercar Challenge-event!
“Today I had my first run on fresh and clearly different rubber as in 2011. It was my first time to run on Dunlop-tyres with a Supercopa, back in 2005, 2006 I also ran Dunlops but on a VW Golf 4, 2.0 atmo. Though it had been a while since we’ve felt those Dunlops, it became pretty soon clear in which direction we had to think. After a few sessions we found an almost ideal setup and nearly got to our fastest laptime of 2011, only half a second left we can confirm we’re ready for Zolder April 21st – 22nd. Looking very much forward to it!” quoted Jimmy after finishing his last session.
